About Us

Our kennel name came about when we met and joined our lives and our love of dogs . Amy has had Gordon Setters since 1978 and  Charlie has been involved with German Shorthaired Pointers since 1974. Each of us became involved with showing our dogs shortly after aquiring our first dogs and have finished numerous champions.
We live on a small farm in southern Indiana with room for the dogs to stretch their legs and space for Amy's flower beds.

Charlie successfully campaigned  German Shorthaired Pointer "Cutter", Ch Huntabird’s Riverside Reason JH to multiple specialty wins, group wins and placements, and top 20 ranking over several years. Charlie is past president of the GSP Club of Indiana, past VP & BOD of Kentuckiana Pointing Breeds Association and current President of Southern Indiana Kennel Club (our local all-breed club). He has judged numerous sweepstakes for GSP's and Gordon Setters, including the GSPCA National Specialty puppy sweeps in 2004, the GSCA National Puppy Sweepstake in 2013, along with other breed sweeps.

Amy started the show career of "Summer" Ch Pointsetter Steal The Thunder, our mutlple group winning, specialty winning German Shorthaired Pointer girl. Amy is current President of the Gordon Setter Club of America and has enjoyed judging sweepstake classes for several breeds, including Veteren Sweeps at the 2004 GSPCA National Specialty. She is a practicing veterinarian in southern Indiana.

We feel it is important that both the Gordon Setters and German Shorthaired Pointers retain the abilities for which they were originally bred. We have participated in hunt test and field trials and given the chance, Charlie is out hunting over one of our champion dogs.
We are selective  in our dogs to be bred. Our goal is to produce a healthy , good looking pup.
Please feel free to contact us about the dogs. We breed occasionally, quality not quantity is our goal and we also occasionally will have an adult available. We reserve the right to limit our dog’s stud services upon approval.
